BOY SCOUTS

COFFEE & COMMUNITY
This group provides Hospitality after Sunday liturgies.  It is a way to not only serve fellow parishioners but to get to know the “names behind the faces” of the people of the parish.  Approximately one hour of one’s time is needed, once a month and schedules are very flexible.

MOTHERS ORGANIZED TO HELP, EDUCATE, RECREATE AND SUPPORT (MOTHERS)
Provides a Christ-centered environment where mothers can come together for mutual support and share opportunities for personal, spiritual, intellectual and social growth.  For a nominal membership fee, you are provided with a monthly activities newsletter inviting you to Community Gatherings, Family Activities, MICA/TYICA Social Outreach, Playgroups, various Small Groups, and Social and Spiritual events.

PARISH NURSERY
This group organizes, maintains and coordinates the on-going needs of the parish nursery which will offer a safe space for toddlers (ages 1- 3) while parents and older siblings are at Sunday liturgy.  The nursery is located in one of the rooms in the church atrium and has appropriate resources for these children.  Adults of the parish are welcome to become members of the committee and serve as facilitators.

PARISH SOCIALS
A team of parishioners serve the social needs of our community by providing a variety of adult social events, including the annual Parish Anniversary Party on the fourth Saturday of January.

PASTORAL COUNCIL
Saint Catharine Pastoral Council serves parishioners by supporting and encouraging the parish in its mission to spread the Good News by word and example.  This group, comprised of the pastor, parish staff and representatives of the parish community meets monthly and works to enrich the spiritual life of the parish and to enhance the sense of community here at St. Catharine.  They welcome the input of all parishioners.

RELAY FOR LIFE
Relay for Life is a community based event that unites people of all ages to join together to celebrate cancer survivors and honor friends, family and neighbors who have been touched by cancer.  “Team Saint Catharine” is a group of parishioners who will participate in the walk, held annually in May.

RELIGIOUS COMMUNITIES OF GLEN ROCK
Representatives from St. Catharine, The Community Church, All Saints Episcopal Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Glen Rock Jewish Center and Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sikh Temple meet each month to plan community-wide events and deal with a wide variety of issues.  RCGR develops a cooperative working relationship among the religious communities.

SHAWL MINISTRY
Care and the love of knitting (and crochet) have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace.  Many blessings are knitted into each shawl.  The knitter begins each shawl with prayers for the recipient.  Intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl.  When the shawl is completed it is offered a final ritual before being sent on its way to those undergoing medical procedures, as a comfort after a loss, during bereavement, marriage ceremonies, birth of a child, bridal shower gift and more.

WEBSITE TEAM
The website team will be responsible for keeping St. Catharine’s website up to date and visually appealing.  It will allow those who are unable to attend Mass to keep connected to the parish.

WELCOMING MINISTRY
This ministry welcomes new parishioners with a blessing of their home and a reception following the 9am Mass at each of the four Welcoming Liturgies during the year.
