Tuesday, April 16th Tenebrae Service
8 PM in church
Tenebrae is a prolonged meditation on Christ's suffering. Readings and powerful music trace the story of Christ's passion, and the power of silence and darkness suggest the drama of this momentous day. As candles are extinguished, we are called to remember the depth of Christ's suffering and death; and through the return of the small but persistent flame of the Christ candle at the conclusion of the service, we anticipate the joy of the victory of the Resurrection.
This is a prayerful and powerful way to spend an evening in preparation for the Triduum and the great celebration of Easter.
Everyone is welcome.
