On this discussion of The Parish, Dr Kevin Hargaden and Dr Ciara Murphy, of the Irish Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice based in Dublin, Ireland, will provide a positive approach with a focus on feasible “experiments” that any parish can explore according to their own context and capacities. Explaining the progression of key ecological ideas from Saint Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis, they provide reasons for parish engagement as well as how we think about faith and the role of church on the margins, serving as an oasis in those parts of our society that face devastation and need.
