Christian Foundations for Ministry (CFM) was developed as an adult faith formation and education program of the Archdiocese of Newark. It is a three program leading to a Certificate in Ministry Achievement. However, parishioners who are not able to commit to the three year program may take individual courses that interest them.
Year One – The Gift of Faith- Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament)
- Christian Scriptures (New Testament)
- Sacraments
Year Two – The Gift of Community- Church History
- Liturgical Cycle
- Morality
Year Three – The Gift of Ministry- Styles of Ministry
- Evangelization
- Corporate Ministry
The program is offered in three eight week cycles each year in the Charity Room of the Parish Center on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. It is open to parishioners of any parish. There is a $50.00 tuition charge per course, payable to the Catechetical Office of the Archdiocese of Newark. Financial assistance is available.
