Accompany the candidate and present them to the Bishop
Help the candidate fulfill his/her baptismal promises faithfully.
Choosing a Confirmation Name:
Take your inspiration from a person with a deep relationship with God – a saint.
You should be familiar (and inspired!) by their life and be prepared to talk about it – add this information in your letter to the pastor.)
Assuming your baptismal name is taken from the name of a saint you CAN use your baptismal name. It’s a good way to connect our baptism to our confirmation.
Service Project:
15-20 hours of combined service to your family, school, neighborhood, community and parish.
Please turn in your completed form to the Religious Education Office.
Letter to the Pastor:
Please include the following:
Why you want to be confirmed and what confirmation means to you.
Your confirmation name and how it was selected.
A description of your service project and what it meant to you.
Discussion about one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that appeals to you would be a plus.
