Hospital Visits

St. Catharine Hospital Visitors Ministry is a rewarding and meaningful ministry. It consists of St. Catharine parishioners visiting other St. Catharine parishioners who are patients at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J. The time commitment is minimal and very flexible. Hospital visitors often visit once a month, some make more frequent visits, depending on their schedule.

The rewards are great for both the patient and the visitor.  There is a brief training that consists of a new visitor accompanying a current Hospital Visitor on his or her Valley Hospital visits.  Visitors take with them a booklet, "The Catholic Devotional", 'Sorry we missed you' cards and rosaries made by parishioners of St. Catharine.  These items are distributed to patients as needed.

The brief training will make the new visitor feel confident, comfortable and ready to serve in this very special ministry.
