Camp Lots-of-Fun is Family Promise's day camp for children ages 5-12 in a shelter and support programs, as well as kids experiencing housing instability that are referred to them from other organizations in Bergen County. For the families, camp meets a critical need by filling the gap in daycare when most summer programs end and school has yet to begin. But for the children, it means so much more.
The camp will be taking place here at St. Catharine's Monday, Aug. 15 to Friday, Aug. 26. The children in the program will be served breakfast and lunch each day, as well as lunches for the volunteer counselors.
Based on early response, we have committed to 2, and possibly 3 lunches. If we have enough funds a breakfast will also be provided and/or snack bags for campers to take home!!
To make this easy, a signup has been created so you can sign up to donate $10 (or you can sign up for more). The signup can be accessed at bit.ly/camplotsoffun. Information on how to send in the committed donation will be provided once you have signed up.
