Who: anyone who would like to answer Pope Francis's call for Catholics to reach out to our wounded world. Anyone who wishes to prepare for or enrich her / his ministerial leadership in the parish.
What: A program of learning, prayer, reflection and community that allows you to explore your faith and mission on two different paths:
• a three year program leading to an Archdiocesan certificate and recommendation for ministry or
• participation in specific courses of interest as they are offered.
Where: St. Catharine’s Parish Center, Charity Room
When: Tuesday evenings from 7 - 9 PM
2018 - 2019 Schedule; includes three 8-week courses:
Fall Cycle 9/11 - 10/30. Spirituality and Signs of the Time. This course will examine how spirituality and ministry have changed throughout the history of the Church.
Winter Cycle 1/8 - 2/26. Evangelization. This course traces faith development and its role in evangelization. It also evaluates models of evangelization, including the RCIA, and examines the spirituality of the evangelizers.
Spring Cycle 4/9 - 5/28 (no class 4/23). Ministry. This course discusses the call of the laity to ministry in the Church and the world and how the laity can meet the changing realities of parish life.
Tuition: $50.00 per course (some scholarships available)
