As you may have heard we have been given permission by the archdiocese to open church for private prayer on a limited basis. This comes with a number of provisions to keep everyone safe. Originally my hope was to grant access on a number of days and hours that we cannot yet fulfill.
Beginning Sunday May 17th we will begin with the following schedule:
Sundays from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M.
Tuesdays from 8 A.M. to 10 A.M.
Thursdays from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon
For these hours to continue and possibly increase we need the cooperation of every person who chooses to visit the Church.
All of the following must be adhered to at all times:
If you are ill in any way please stay at home until you are well.
If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 please stay home until you have completed the recommended quarantine period (14 days for those exposed OR 14 days past the last display of symptoms for those diagnosed).
Masks must be worn at all times once you enter the building. We do not have a supply and everyone should have their own mask by this time.
You may choose to wear gloves. There will be hand sanitizer available as well at the entrance to building in the Narthex and near the restrooms.
Avoid touching any and all surfaces as much as possible.
Community Hall is off limits.
Everyone must access the Church by the main entrance. If you require the ramp you may use the bell tower entrance. The gym entrance will be closed.
Visits are meant to be brief.
Social distancing remains in force, taped off areas must be avoided. It is not a time to congregate and chat.
It may become necessary to limit the number of visitors in the Church at any given time, and you may be asked to wait outside until others leave.
All of the above will be enforced by a designated monitor, either a staff person or volunteer. Please respect their requests as they have a job to do.
Of course the best scenario is self-policing and observing all of the requirements so that we maintain the privilege of visiting the Church and possibly increase the number of available hours for the Church to be open going forward. All of that depends on every one of us doing the right thing for one another. Thank you for all you have and will do to make this work.
