As a committee, we are focused on learning about and promoting Catholic social teaching. Catholic social teaching is the body of doctrine developed by the Catholic Church on matters of social justice, involving issues of poverty and wealth, economics, social organization and the role of the state. Our understanding of such complex issues from a Catholic perspective inspires us to advocate for the poor on a state and national level as well as hold letter writing campaigns and educational events that relate to caring for the poor and for God's creation.
Apathy is the enemy of justice.
